This is an experiment in a new type or style of educational Twitter chat. #slowchatED is just like a normal teacher chat except that it takes place from Monday through Saturday. Only one question per day is asked using the #slowchatED. You can jump in whenever you want so you don’t have to be locked into a certain day or time. Follow the link to read more about the #slowchatED concept.
It is owned and operated by YOU. Take charge, have fun. Let’s DO THIS. If you have questions, just leave them in the comments below.
As much as I like the fast and furious hour-long standard edu Twitter chats, it can be a bit exhausting to actively participate.
I’m new to the #slowchatED idea, but I love the concept as it allows time throughout the week to reflect and respond.
And, given the lack of an hour long time constraint, #slowchated is to edu Twitter chats what the DVR is to television. 🙂
That’s a great analogy!
Whoever thought this up is a genius. My schedule is so varied it makes it really hard to participate in chats as much as I would like. I’m sure I’m not unique. Many thanks for this truly innovative idea.
Yay! I just found #bookclubed which is a slow chat, and was wondering if there was a general Edchat with the same slower format. There is!
I absolutely love the slow chat concept! I think collaborating with other teachers via Twitter is amazing but I get a little overwhelmed by the traditional set time and place format! Thanks for putting together such an amazing resource. I love it!
